MAN JUMPS TO DEATH IN RAILTRACK AT JALPAIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 11th September, 2015: A man committed suicide by jumping in front of a running train at Jalpaiguri. The incident happened near No. 5 Gumti at Gomostapara, Jalpaiguri. In no time the body was sliced into pieces. A cycle believed to be belonging to the youth was recovered near the spot. The dead was identified as Chiranjib Debnath, who was a resident of Senpara of Jalpaiguri. There was a little unrest when the GRPF arrived late despite the immediate information. The local residents blocked the rail traffic in the route stopping the Haldibari – Kolkata Superfast Express. Later when the police came and recovered the dead body the situation came under control. An investigation has been started to find out the reason behind this suicide.
